Christmas is Tight this Year or Tacky is as Tacky Does

My Dear Friends,
Somewhat embarrassing to admit, I'm not getting an annual bonus and
Christmas is tight this year. I will be making bedroom slippers for you
all as gifts. Please let me know your sizes. You'll most likely agree
that it's a splendid idea, and should you wish to do the same, I've
included the instructions below.

How to make bedroom slippers out of maxi pads:
1. You need four maxi pads to make a pair.
2. Two of them get laid out flat, for the foot part.
3. The other two wrap around the toe area to form the top.
4. Tape or glue each side of the top pieces to the bottom of the foot part.
5. Decorate the tops with whatever you desire, silk flowers (this is most aesthetically appealing), etc.

These slippers are:
* Soft and Hygienic
* Non-slip grip strips on the soles
* Built in deodorant feature keeps feet smelling fresh
* No more bending over to mop up spills
* Disposable and biodegradable
* Environmentally safe
* Three convenient sizes: (1.) Regular, (2.) Light and (3.) Get out the Sand Bags
.

I've attached a photo of the first pair I made so that you can see the nifty slippers for yourself.... Awaiting your response. It's crucial that I get the right size for each one of you.

I’m in computer hell this week and unable to import, scan etc, thus not able to show a new painting. This funny little piece was sent to me by Tashabud. It made me laugh so hard I knew you’d enjoy it also. The original author is unknown, but whom ever the author, I salute their hutzpah.

Have a great week. Please visit my
The Red Chair Gallery. If something strikes your fancy, let me know by contacting me here. You never know- I may just make you a holiday deal.

LOL, Vikki. I love your spin on it. Just a little rearranging and a few of your own words, made it all so yours. I'm sure whoever is the author, he or she would be proud of it. I love it.

This just got me thinking.
You should actually make them for your Hollywood friends as a prank. After reading the letter with it, they'd be hurrying to come to your aid and buy all of your paintings and perhaps give you a large bonus, as well. That would be a hoot, eh?

On second thought, that'd probably not be a good idea. It might only be funny in a movie or a skit, but not in real life, huh? I got a laugh out of it, though.

Talk to you later. Good night.

Hi Tashabud,
You were a life (or blog ) saver this week. Thanks.

I got to tell you that one of my favorite gifts as a kid was a sock monkey that my 80+ year old grandmother made me. I actually think homemade gifts are the greatest.

I've been seriously sitting here all of this time trying to figure out whether there are different configurations for males versus females, and whether there is truly a unisex version.

Hi Logistician,
Oh- they're definitely 'uni-sex.'
They'd look great on your feet Esquire. To funny!
